IDEALABS Campus Connect is a comprehensive Industry Institute Convergence Programme (IICP),to Interface Academic institutions with Industry. It includes a wide range of services including Setting up of Centre of Excellence in latest technologies, Conducting Adjunct courses, Campus placement initiatives and developing joint Intellectual property.
Renaissance has taken several initiatives as part of IDEALABS - The Campus Connect, a pioneering initiative to bring the Industry, the Academic institutes and students on one common platform. The Renaissance initiative is a form of collaboration that is far reaching and represents a very substantial transformation, a true convergence of the industry and institutes, a convergence of their vision, mission their objectives -In short a joint alliance of a committed team from both Industry and the Institute.
As part of this initiative, Renaissance proposes setting up of Centre of Excellence - labs in cutting edge technologies. The IDEA of this initiative is to create a live technology environment for students and faculty to get exposed to these technologies at an early level. This should help them gain confidence and allow them to probe, experiment and build solutions in these technologies
The following technology labs are proposed as a first step in building a Centre of Excellence which can be a hub of Knowledge in these areas:
Convergence Lab - Building Next Generation VoIP Convergence Solutions on protocols such as VoiceXML, SIP,MGCP,CCXML
Mobile Gaming and Application Development Lab - Building next generation Mobile applications
Auto Identification Technology Labs - Building Apps on RFID, Biometrics and SMart Cards
Embedded and Robotics Lab - Building Advanced Applications on embedded systems and Robotics
The foundation laid down in the academic curriculum has to be complemented by certain application oriented programs which can impart further practical understanding.
The objective of these Value Added Courses is to provide the students an opportunity to learn and practice the most updated technologies relevant from Industry point of view.
The Value Added Courses to be run in high-end areas like VLSI, Embedded systems, Mobile communications, Telecom protocol stacks and Web services, Operating systems, security, etc, and must be concluded with MINI PROJECTS to further make the student hands-on with the topic.
The Value Added Courses will also prepare students towards internationally recognized certification.
As part of a special initiative to help our partner colleges, Renaissance organizes and facilitates Campus placements by leading companies on an ongoing basis.
The students are placed through the campus recruitment programme. The placement activities are coordinated by a dedicated Renaissance Campus Placement Cell in association with the College placement committee headed by Placement Coordinator, student representatives and faculty members.
